ST:ENT kinda bothers me with their canon stuff, because some of it goes against what I have come to interpret as canon and some of it I just don't like.
Mind melds weren't well known or used during ST:ENT time except by "crazy" Vulcans who were trying to access their feelings? Really? When did mind melds become popular again then? Do they show this in later episodes of ST:ENT? Is what T'Pau does during the Pon Farr ceremony (too lazy to look up how to actually spell it) something different than a mind meld?
I realize that mind melds aren't the only way that Vulcans use their touch telepathy and I would be the first person to say that I am very fuzzy on the subject. But it just kinda really bothered me.
I guess one thing that I feel like, too, especially since I know that T'Pol apparently goes into Pon Farr later in the series, is that I feel like it was contrived for plot. "Oh, hey, what if mind melds weren't common and someone used it on T'Pol and made her feel. Doesn't that sound awesome?"
Am I being to sensitive about canon? I kinda feel like on eo f those old-timer Trekkies who hate the new movie on principle and bemoan how different it is from the original series.
