Mirrorverse Movie

People have been talking and speculating about what the next Star Trek movie will be about and what parts of TOS will be included, Khan often mentioned as a possible adversary. After watching the mirrorverse episodes of Enterprise last night and reading a line from a fic just now about Spock Prime knowing alternate versions of himself, I've started thinking about a mirrorverse based movie and how awesome that would be. I don't know how they would do it, but I love the thought of it. I would love to see the new cast as mirror!characters. I really kind of want it bad now. Of course, I just thought of it, so it may pass, but I doubt it. Two things I am fascinated by in TOS: Tarsus IV (and how it affected Jim) and the mirrorverse.

TL;DR Quinto!Spock with a beard anyone? y/y?

Right? And you know that something so traumatic had to've had such a deep impact on a young James Kirk, in any universe. The psychological impact of the event is so intriguing. I love reading fic that deals with it, because it can be explored and utilized in so many different ways.

It was recently (yesterday, day before) mentioned on one of the fic comms. Lists all the fics the owner's found that has Tarsus in it - anywhere from brief mention to focal plot point. TOS and STXI.

It was in a comment to some post and when I saw it I was like :O and then I was *_* and :D and all kinds of happy. The only way it could be better is if it was on a delicious account - only because then I could see what was newly added (because I think the owner only does it by alphabetical order) and I could search by tags. (One thing I love about the kink meme.)

I'm tempted to start a new delicious just so I can do that, but I'm resisting. I have started tagging fic that has Tarsus as a plot point on my delicious account, but I think I only have two on there so far.

Glad I could pass the knowledge on. :D Definitely have a number of them on my list of fics to read.

And I would totally go see a movie that was just about young!Kirk on Tarsus IV. Y'know that would be epic and, in all seriousness, could actually be a awesome real, interesting movie (depending, of course on awesome writers utilizing what little canon, plot, and details they're given.)
