Doctor Who, Donna, and Torchwood!

I'm supposed to be writing a paper for class, so of course I'm procrastinating and lurking on the internet. I found this very cute Doctor Who mini episode.

John Barrowman had a contest on his show Tonight's the Night (which I really need to watch more of.) People entered the contest with a picture of themselves dressed up as an alien and an explanation of the alien. One lucky person was picked to film the mini episode which then aired on Tonight's the Night Watch the entire thing, it's cute to see how Tim reacts to seeing David Tennant for the first time.


ETA: Edited to add the extended Torchwood trailer for their upcoming arc, Children of Earth. I am so freaking excited about this, especially after viewing this trailer. I can't wait. (Even if there will be no Tosh or Owen. ;_;) Go. Watch. Now.

ETA2: (last edit, promise) Had to add this quick "Donna's Story in 90 Seconds" vid I found. She's definitely my favorite companion from the three, so I have to give her tribute where I can.

I am silly excited for the new Torchwood. I saw a preview at New York Comiccon a few months ago and met Eve myles.It needs to just air already. I am hoping my county picks up BBC America HD when it starts. Cause come on HD John Barrowman?! Break out the smelling salts there is going to be some mass fainting in my apartment, regardless of gender and sexual preference.

I'm so envious! I've never been to NYC at all, so I've definitely have never been to Comiccon, but I want to go to both!

I, unfortunately, don't get BBC. So I'm one of those bad people who download it. (Or I watch it with friends at their house. And then I download it.)

Oh, and may I mention, I saw that icon that you have and thought it was great and then I read parts one and two of a ST/DW/Torchwood crossover and now when I see that icon, I think of Kirk and the (10th) Doctor from DW. I'm not sure what I think of that. (Captains Kirk and Jack on the other hand bring two words to mind... pure crack.)

Comiccon was great and Eve Myles was soooo nice. I can show you my picture( but most of them aren't so great). Make plans to go in 2010. It was good comic/scifi/pop culture fun.

I agree John Barrowman exists--your sexual preference is invalid. Half the fun of watching Torchwood is making saucy comments about that man. Maybe you can come over and watch the show when the new stuff starts this summer.

That crossover.....blows my mind. Which Kirk? Agreed double captain action FTW. Link please?

I should plan on going to Comiccon in 2010. DC is a lot closer to NYC than Florida.

That'd be awesome if I had someone to watch Torchwood with. I miss watching TV shows with people. ;.; (And it's totally true about the saucy comments.)

Last time I checked there were only two parts to the fic and I'm not sure if the writer is totally sure where she's going with it, but the Captains have made eyes at each other. The first part of the story. (http://sammeg06.livejournal.com/4772.html) And let's just say there are a couple of doctors, a few companions, and the Enterprise crew. And I don't think it specifically states which Enterprise crew, but it has new smell to it.
